Designed by the renowned Sydney architectural firm Candalepas Associates, the landmark building on the corner of Liverpool and Castlereagh Streets in the Hyde Park South precinct will include 168 apartments within the 55-level building.

The Hyde Metropolitan’s luxurious communal podium will include a resort-style pool, leisure deck, sauna and gym, and tree covered courtyards. The building will also include a concierge service.
Upper-level residences enjoy their own private foyer and lift access, and the ground level will be home to a high-end restaurant and bar, adding to the vibrancy and appeal for residents.
The design includes four levels of A-Grade office space, ground floor retail and entry foyers.
Candalepas Associates principal Angelo Candalepas said he relished the opportunity to deliver a landmark building near the south-west corner of Hyde Park.
“I cannot imagine anything more beautiful than the delivery of a building which can demonstrate a deep affection for our sun and how it can relate to our body and its wellbeing.” said Mr Candalepas.
“A courtyard with trees is as good as a view and these quiet areas of private garden and delightful courtyard presence are important to the personality of the building and what it offers back to its residents,” said Mr Candalepas.
Mr Candalepas was also recently appointed to lead the design team for the National Gallery of Victoria’s NGV Contemporary building in Melbourne.
High-end apartment specialist David Milton, Managing Director of CBRE Residential, said there had already been very strong interest in the new luxury address.
