“Tallawong Village and our new project at Showground will bring convenience like supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, public open spaces and places for friends and family to meet,” says Hunter. “These projects will lead to people feeling connected to their communities.”

Having already delivered some of Sydney’s best loved retail spaces, the Deicorp team can draw on extensive experience to create places that will become desirable destinations for locals and visitors alike.

“South Village in Kirrawee is a great example,” says Hunter. “It’s a project that brings retail, residential and community spaces together and has given new life to an area. We’ve done the same at Kellyville, Punchbowl, Oatley, Rockdale, Petersham and many other areas. Building a life of convenience is part of the Deicorp philosophy.”

While proximity to transport is a critical starting point for Deicorp developments, the company understands there are other key elements to creating covetable communities.

Deicorp currently has three big projects underway in The Hills: the aptly named Proximity, set a three-minute walk from Rouse Hill Metro Station and town centre; The Ashford, set a two-minute walk from Showground Metro Station; and Tallawong Village, a master-planned community inclusive of vast retail and commercial space on the doorstep of Tallawong Metro Station.

Hunter says the three projects offer a mix of accommodation to attract a broad demographic, with first home buyers well catered for.

“All of our projects are attracting first-time purchasers drawn to the great value and convenience our apartments offer,” says Hunter. “We’ve probably helped more people buy their first property than any other developer in the area.”

Hunter says he’s also fielding strong interest from older couples looking for a new home to complement the next stage of their lives after children have moved out. 

“The Ashford with its very generous apartment sizes and beautiful landscaped setting is proving very popular [with these buyers],” he says.

Investors have also returned to the market with the understanding that apartments next to the Metro and close to retail are likely to fetch good returns and be easier to rent.

“The common theme is that they all want to live in this part of Sydney,” says Hunter. “They love the lifestyle, the good shopping and schools, and they have the confidence of buying from a developer with Deicorp’s strong track record.”
